Kudos to NYU Skirball Center for showing dance performances like Daniel Leveille’s Amour, Acide et Noix. Presented as a meditation of human form.
He broke it down to its most basic simplistic form from the bare stage to minimal lighting and choreography.
“Nudity is not provocation, but a tool for honesty”
Léveillé exposed the body from the beginning to the end of the performance.
There were four dancers—Lou Amsellem, Jimmy Gonzalez, Marco Arzenton, and Marco Curci—executed Leveille’s intention, choreography that is repetitive but precise.
The dancers are young, with amazing physique. They have no qualms at all exposing their bodies for everyone to see.
For me, once I got past the nudity of these gorgeous dancers, I appreciated the choreography more. I came out of the performance well satisfied.

Skirball seems to be the only theater left that is wlling to show these kinds of performances (they had two last year as well). Kudos to the dancers, very much enjoyed this performance.
